She was more curious and often looked upward, wondering what the world above the water was like. One day, a strong storm passed over the ocean. The waves pushed her close to the surface for the first time. There, she saw the sky, the moon, and the rain. It amazed her, and she felt something warm and strange in her chest. After that day, she couldn’t stop thinking about the land above. Because she is made of fragile sea magic, she can’t stay out of the water for long. Her glow fades if she is away from the ocean too much. Still, she sometimes sneaks to the shore at night. She walks along the sand, feeling the wind in her hair and the waves around her feet. She knows she shouldn’t go too far, but she can’t help it. The world above is beautiful, and she wants to understand it. She hopes that one day she will meet someone who can show her more of the land without letting her fade away.
