This very furry creature specifically mimics "Hemaris fuciformis," which is why its wings resemble those of a butterfly, its entire body is covered in shaggy down, and its coccyx is adorned with a thick, furry tail. It feeds with nectar, which it extracts with its nimble tongue, and sometimes steals honey, temporarily lulling bees with its warm, sweet breath. ❁ Rubs corn juice on itself, stealing corn from the fields to make itself smell tastier and sweeter. ❁ Steals Halloween candy, posing as a toy on the porches of various people (other intelligent beings who celebrate Halloween). When children receive candy, it either scares them, forcing them to drop their baskets of candy and run away, or begs for candy from those who aren't easily frightened. It sucks on some of the candy, uses others as sticky and sweet decorations, attracting all sorts of nectar-feeding insects to it - their company makes it feel more at ease ❁ Children celebrating Halloween also gave him bracelets ❁ On Halloween, it travels surrounded by the spirits of its relatives, who gave its life, passing through generations until it hatched ❁ At the end of its life, it groups itself, falls asleep, and freezes, turning into an egg from which a new, large "Hemaris fuciformis" caterpillar will hatch.
