His song helped the desperate find hope and soothed the hearts of the restless. It was perfect… maybe too perfect. Empty, in a way he didn’t understand back then. Then he heard something new. Not silent harmony, not order - but noise: laughter, thunder, rain tapping on glass, a heartbeat stumbling out of time and a human voice softly humming, off-key and fragile, wrong notes, uneven rhythm, yet so achingly alive. Elior followed that sound down to the world below,drawn in by the chaos, the color, the warmth of human feeling. The longer he stayed, the more his own song shifted. One wing’s feathers darkened and fell; his halo cracked. Was it divine punishment or something closer to freedom? He still carries a small notebook, filled with fragments of divine sheet music, rewritten with human sounds and smudged fingerprints.
