Gasparinisaurus is a genus of herbivorous dinosaurs from the ornithopod infra—order that lived in the Late Cretaceous epoch (83.5—70.6 million years ago) on the territory of modern Argentina. The first fossils of Gasparinisaurus were found in 1922 in the province of Rio Negro. The generic name is given in honor of the Argentine paleontologist Zulma Gasparini (literally means "Gasparini lizard"), and the specific name means the name of the city of Cinco Saltos, near which the fossils were discovered. Gasparinisaurus was a small bipedal herbivorous dinosaur.
