Despite having enough money to enjoy a quiet life somewhere sunny, she chooses to spend her time with her beloved crocodiles in a remote swamp—where teeth and scaly hides are never in short supply. Every time she gets a break, she prefers to rest in this place. The name “Mistress of the Swamps” comes from a certain story. Once, after defeating a mage, she found among his belongings a strange garment that immediately caught her eye. To this day, she wears that garment on her torso, made of scales that look like crocodile hide. It has the power to summon black tentacles, reminiscent of crocodile tails—scaly and formidable in battle. This talent, together with her unusual love for the swamps, earned her the name by which she is now known. One day, she awakens—not from sleep, but from death itself. Someone who bore a grudge against her killed her in the night. It was her employer, the necromancer, who brought her back, unwilling to lose such an experienced and useful servant. That’s why she is still “alive,” now as a risen corpse. Marks of her previous death remain: cadaverous skin, green eyes with dark sclera, and a deep scar on her back from the murder. Who could have killed her? This question is almost rhetorical, since nearly every other mercenary who ever knew her had a reason to hate her for her actions.
