Its not surprise I'm slowly building an universe with the adopts and the patreon posts about the bestiary, so I'm working on a variety of races, hope you enjoy my take on ( one of ) the giants! "Across the continent, the influence of mana is clear—in the creatures, the places, and even in the air. The areas with the highest concentration are called Gates, ruptures in the fabric of space created by a stream of mana connecting one point to another. Much is speculated about the treasures within each gate or what can be learned there, but the problem is that not everyone can enter. Each gate is guarded by a Giant, a race that has been tasked since the beginning of time with protecting these entrances—both from those trying to enter and from creatures trying to leave. The hands of the Giants have unique spiral patterns made of the purest mana, which is why only they can open the gates, and they must do so with their bare hands. Of course, a Giant or two might have their own way of regulating who enters the mana portals.
