Legends whispered of their divine essence, and the hearts of men, greedy and foolish, grew covetous. They believed that the blood of these ethereal beings bestowed strength beyond mortal ken. Thus, the clan fell victim to the cruel ambitions of humanity, nearly wiped from existence by blades wielded in greed and ignorance. Yet one remained: Akanai, the last ember of a dying flame.
