She was the fourth of seven daughters, and from childhood, she had always been the one to listen, to observe. She remembers well the day one of her sisters, Glaceon, had vanished, a crack in the perfect life their parents had constructed. Glaceon had seen through the charade. She had learned about the Abyss, the truth that their family and the entire galaxy was in danger of being consumed. When Glaceon sought to warn them, their parents silenced her, desperate to protect their wealth and influence. Umbreon saw everything. Glaceon's disappearance had been a turning point for Umbreon. She had adored her sister, and when she left, a piece of Umbreon went with her. For years, she searched for answers listening to the whispers about the Abyss and her sister's work. When she finally found the trail, she followed it, determined to join Glaceon in the fight against the darkness. Umbreon made her choice. She left the luxurious estate behind to follow Glaceon's path. She had to find her sister, to help her in the battle. But the galaxy was vast and the journey through its fractured edges took her places she had never imagined. In time, she found herself standing before the Abyss itself...It wasn't as she had imagined. It wasn't just a malevolent force. It was seductive, offering truths and promises that the bright, superficial world had never shown her. Umbreon was gazing into the Abyss, and it gazed back, twisted and ancient. She felt its power like a pulse in the dark and whispered to her... Her love for her sister was too strong to let herself be consumed. Umbreon didn't fall to the Abyss's temptations immediately. She resisted the call, determined to push through, to find her sister and join her side. But her path crossed with something far worse...a faction of people claiming to fight against it. They promised to lead her to Glaceon, convincing her that they too had lost people to the Abyss. Desperate and trusting, Umbreon followed them into forbidden territories. They weren't rebels. They were part of the Abyss itself, corrupted by it long ago. When Umbreon realized it, it was too late. They took her to one of the hearts of the Abyss, a living void, and in a piercing ritual, bound her to its dark energy. For days, she fought against it, her heart yearning for Glaceon. She wouldn’t be consumed, not like this. But the ritual had already taken root, intertwining her very essence with the Abyss. It didn’t take her soul, but it left a mark. Shadows danced in her wake, and the abyssal energy flowed through her veins. When she finally escaped their grasp, Umbreon was changed. The galaxy feared her.
