The two sides of her nature... Abyss Reaver Drakrai

In a world where the sun no longer rose, a heavy, oppressive gloom blanketed the land. The Abyss, a dark force that consumed everything at its path, had crept in slowly at first like a dark fog, but now is consuming all light, hope and life. The people and pokemon whispered of a figure draped in shadow, moving silently through the ruins of a once great city. Some say that she's the part of the embodiment of the Abyss while others claimed that she's the last hope to fight it in this planet. Her name was Darkrai, a being born from darkness, her form shifting between solid and spectral. Her eyes glowing a deep cerulean, pierced the thick blackness that surrounded her. She has been part of this world for as long as she could remember, though whether she was drawn here by the Abyss or had existed before, she couldn't say. Darkrai wandered the desolate landscape, her presence bringing uneasy dreams to those few who still lived. Her touch though, plunge them into darkness, yet in those nightmares there was a strange comfort, some said. The terror she invoked allowed them to confront their fears and often, they awoke with a kind of resolve to face the harsh reality. Darkrai herself was unsure if she was guiding them towards salvation or deepening their despair. One evening she stood atop a crumbling tower, overlooking a village slowly succumbing to the Abyss. The darkness seemed alive, swirling and crawling like tendrils, devouring everything in its path. A child ran from one of the homes, pursued by the shadows, their small frame barely illuminated by the faint glow of a lantern. Darkrai extended her hand, her instinct to protect the child clashing with a deeper, more insidious urge As the shadows neared, she unleashed a pulse of dark energy with her scythe, scattering them. The child turned slowly, his eyes wide in terror as he gazed upon her, the supposed savior who wore the visage of the very darkness they feared. "You...want to help or destroy?" the child's voice was small. trembling with both hope and fear. Darkrai was silent, her mind was uncertain. She could not answer the question that haunted her every step. Was she a guardian, born from the shadows to fight the Abyss, or was she merely another instrument of its will? The Abyss whispered to her, tempting her to embrace her true nature, to revel in the fear and chaos. Yet, there was a part that recoiled, that yearned to be something more then just a harbinger of nightmares...and nothingness. In that moment of hesitation, the shadows gathered again, stronger and determined. The little kid screamed and Darkrai unleashed another wave of energy, this time retracting it from the entire village...She knew it was temporary. As the child ran back to the village, Darkrai remained on the tower, her form wavering between corporeal and ethereal. She was neither good nor evil, neither hero or villain She was Darkrai, a creature of darkness in a world where the lines between light and shadow had blurred beyond recognition. The Abyss would continue to grow, and she would continue to wander, forever caught between the two sides of her nature... A design I had done before everything went down with the flooding!
