He's 4 years old and suffers from feline leukemia. Three days ago, he started breathing with great difficulty, so we took him to the vet. They took X-rays and detected a pleural effusion in his chest (fluid that makes it difficult for him to breathe), caused by tumors in that area. Bebé's symptoms appeared suddenly; he showed no signs of being sick before. The treatment recommended by the cardiologist currently overseeing his case is to proceed with draining the fluid so he can breathe better, as well as performing a puncture on the tumors to take a sample and evaluate if they are treatable. Currently, the approximate cost of everything is around $180. I'm Latina, so getting that amount is quite challenging for me. I live in Peru, and our currency is the sol.
